Socceroos and Matildas: vintage Australia soccer jerseys
Australia’s gold jersey is familiar to American fans thanks to two players who made their names in US leagues: Tim Cahill and Sam Kerr. This page has Australian national team jerseys from the mid-2000s to recent years, for both the Socceroos and the Matildas.

Cahill, Kerr and the US leagues
Tim Cahill spent three seasons with the New York Red Bulls after his years at Everton, and his 2006-08 home jersey is here, from the World Cup where he scored Australia’s first goals at the finals. Sam Kerr played in the NWSL for Sky Blue FC and the Chicago Red Stars before moving to England, and a 2023-24 Matildas home jersey carries her name and number 20.
Socceroos milestones
Australia reached the knockout round of the 2006 World Cup in Germany, their first finals in 32 years. They moved from Oceania to the Asian confederation the same year and won the Asian Cup at home in 2015, with Mile Jedinak as captain. A 2014-16 away jersey with his name is on the page. In Qatar in 2022 the Socceroos reached the round of 16 again before losing to Argentina.
Nike gold, season by season
Nike has made the Australia uniform for the whole period covered here. The home jerseys are gold with green trim, and the away designs are darker. There are player issue versions from 2010-11, a Nike track jacket and training tops.
Sizing (US)
Nike’s national team jerseys run true to European sizing, a little smaller than US cuts. Women’s jerseys are listed separately. Each listing shows the size and a condition score.
