Hendrik Johannes Cruijff, known internationally as Johan Cruyff, was born on 25 April 1947 and died on 24 March 2016. He won the Ballon d’Or three times, in 1971, 1973 and 1974, and was the central figure in the Total Football style developed with Rinus Michels. At Ajax from 1964 he won six Eredivisie titles, three European Cups and an Intercontinental Cup. He joined Barcelona in 1973 and took the club its first La Liga title in fourteen years. Later came the Los Angeles Aztecs, the Washington Diplomats, Levante, a return to Ajax and a final season at Feyenoord, where he won the double. He led the Netherlands to the 1974 World Cup final and was named player of the tournament.
We would rather say this plainly than pad the page out: there are currently no Cruyff shirts in the catalogue at all. His playing career ended in 1984, and match-worn or retail shirts from the 1960s and 1970s almost never reach the second-hand market in wearable condition.
