Alessandro Nesta

Alessandro Nesta, born 19 March 1976, joined the Lazio youth setup in 1985 and made his first-team debut on 13 March 1994 away to Udinese. He became captain in 1997 under Sven-Göran Eriksson and scored the decisive goal in the 1998 Coppa Italia final win over AC Milan. Across a twenty-year career split between Lazio and Milan he made over 400 Serie A appearances, was named Serie A Defender of the Year four times, and later played in MLS for Montreal Impact. He won 78 caps for Italy, reached the Euro 2000 final and was part of the 2006 World Cup-winning squad.

A Lazio listing, not a Milan one

Worth knowing before you search: despite the decade he spent at Milan, the great majority of the shirts here are Lazio, with only a couple of AC Milan pieces and a single Montreal Impact item. The Lazio shirts cluster tightly in the second half of the 1990s and the seasons just after 2000 — 1995–96, 1996–97, 1998–00 and 2001–02 all recur. Every one carries the number 13.

European, Basic and what they mean

Some entries are labelled Lazio European, meaning the version worn in UEFA competition, which differs from the domestic shirt in its sponsor and badge details. Others are marked Basic, a cheaper retail version of the same design with simpler construction. Home shirts outnumber away by roughly four to one. Condition grades run from 5/10 to 9/10 with most around 7/10, and prices are high — these Lazio shirts are among the more expensive Serie A jerseys of their period.
