Wesley Sneijder

Wesley Sneijder, born 9 June 1984 in Utrecht, came through the Ajax youth academy and won the Johan Cruyff Trophy in 2004. Real Madrid signed him for €27 million in 2007 and he took the La Liga title in his first season. He moved to Inter Milan for €15 million in 2009, where he won Serie A, the Champions League, the Club World Cup and two Coppa Italia titles, and was named UEFA midfielder of the season in 2010. Galatasaray bought him for €7.5 million in 2013, and short spells at Nice and Al Gharafa closed out his career in 2019. With 134 caps he remains the most capped Netherlands player of all time.

Two clubs, and two that are missing

The listing is small and concentrated. Most of it is Inter Milan and Netherlands, with a single Ajax item. Neither his Real Madrid season nor his four years at Galatasaray are represented, so if that is what you came for, it is not here. Seasons run from 2006–07 to 2014–15.

Shirt numbers as a dating clue

His number changed, and it dates the shirt for you. The early Netherlands shirts here carry 20; from around 2010 the Dutch shirts and all the Inter shirts carry 10. Home and away versions are split fairly evenly. Condition grades run from 5/10 up to 10/10, and small sizes dominate the listing. Not everything is a shirt — a cotton tee and a pair of crew socks with his name and number are included as well.
