Eight Freiburg items are listed here, and every one of them sits inside the club’s Bundesliga era rather than the decades before it. The two oldest are from 1998-99: a home shirt and a Match Issue long-sleeve third shirt numbered 31 for Buchheit. The newest is a 2021-22 home shirt with Schade #20, from the first season after the club left the Dreisamstadion, its ground from 1954, for the Europa-Park Stadion, which was completed in October 2021 and holds 34,700.
Only five are shirts. The rest are training and touchline pieces: away shorts from 2010-11 in a 13-14 years size, Nike training shorts from 2012-13, and a padded Jako bench coat from 1999-00. The third shirt from 2018-19 and the Match Issue away shirt from 2016-17 fill the middle of the range, 2016-17 being Freiburg’s first season back in the top flight after they came up as 2. Bundesliga champions in 2016.
Match Issue means the piece was prepared for a squad member rather than sold in the club shop. Both Match Issue entries here carry a squad number and no condition figure. On the other six the x/10 grade runs from 6 to 9, and that number describes wear — fading, cracked print, small marks — not whether the shirt can still be worn. A 6 is a complete shirt that has simply had a longer life than a 9.
