Hernan Crespo

Hernan Crespo is regarded as one of the finest strikers Argentina has produced, and now coaches in Mexico. The stock behind this page is concentrated in his Italian years, and it is unusually expensive.

Parma and Lazio dominate

Ten of the 23 items are Parma shirts, Crespo #9, almost all from 1999-00 — home, away and third, plus one signed away shirt and one Basic third long-sleeve. Seven are Lazio shirts, #10, from 2000 to 2002, six of them the European home shirt. Five are Argentina shirts and one is a 2002-03 Inter Milan home shirt.

Nothing after 2006

Every item here is from 2006 or earlier, and there is no English club shirt at all. That is the reverse of the usual pattern in this catalogue, where English shirts are over-represented, and it makes this page an unusually Italian one.

Why the prices sit so high

Grades run 5/10 to 10/10 with a median of 8, and prices from about £126 to £480 with a median near £240 — one of the highest medians of any player in the catalogue. Late-1990s Parma shirts are collectable designs in their own right before any printing goes on them, and the Lazio European shirts were made for continental fixtures only. One Argentina listing is a 2006 adidas reissue: a modern remake, not a shirt from the period, and priced accordingly at around £126.
