Didier Drogba, born 11 March 1978, made his professional debut at 21 with Le Mans, moved to Guingamp in 2002 and then Marseille in 2003, where he was named Ligue 1 Player of the Year and reached the 2004 UEFA Cup final. Chelsea paid £24 million for him in July 2004; in his first season the club won its first league title in 50 years. He took the Premier League Golden Boot in 2006–07 and again in 2009–10 with 29 goals in 32 games, became the first African player to reach 100 Premier League goals in March 2012, and scored the 88th-minute equaliser and the winning penalty in that year’s Champions League final. He is Ivory Coast’s all-time top scorer with 65 goals.
Nearly every item here is Chelsea, numbered 11, across both of his spells at the club. A small group is from Montreal Impact and a couple from Marseille; his Le Mans, Guingamp, Shanghai Shenhua and Galatasaray years do not appear. Seasons run from 2003 to 2016.
Several items are labelled Chelsea Centenary. That is the 2005–06 kit marking the club’s hundredth anniversary, and it is a distinct design rather than an ordinary home shirt. Others are marked Player Issue, including TechFit versions cut to squad specification. Home and away shirts are close to evenly split, with a solid group of third shirts from the 2008–11 seasons. Condition grades run from 4/10 to 10/10 with most around 6/10, and sizes span children’s through to 3XL.
