Paul Ince, born 21 October 1967 in Ilford, played professionally from 1986 to 2007. He broke through at West Ham United, joined Manchester United in 1989 and won two Premier League titles, two FA Cups and a League Cup in six years at Old Trafford. Sold to Inter Milan in 1995, he was a runner-up in the 1997 UEFA Cup before returning to the Premier League with Liverpool, and later played for Middlesbrough and Wolverhampton Wanderers. With 271 combined league appearances for Liverpool and Manchester United, he is one of very few players to have represented both. He won 53 England caps and became the first black player to captain England.
This matters when you browse. His son Tom is also a professional footballer, and the listing mixes the two. The England under-17, under-19 and under-21 shirts from 2008 to 2014 are Tom’s, not Paul’s. Paul’s own shirts are the Manchester United shirts from 1994–96 numbered 8 and the Liverpool shirts from 1996–98 numbered 17. West Ham, Inter Milan, Middlesbrough and Wolves are not represented at all.
Around half of everything listed here is marked Match Issue or Match Worn — shirts prepared for, or actually used in, a specific fixture rather than sold in a club shop. That is a far higher share than most player pages carry, and it is why prices here sit in a narrow band rather than spreading wide. One 1994–96 entry is a full kit, shirt and shorts together. Condition grades run from 6/10 to 8/10.
