Empoli Football Club was founded in 1920 in Empoli, Tuscany, and belongs to a small group of Italian clubs that have reached Serie A without being based in a provincial capital. The club has played almost its entire history in professional football and has entered European competition once, going out in the qualifying stage of the 2007–08 UEFA Cup.
The listing reaches back to 1986, but the bulk of it is far more recent: the 2000s and 2010s together account for well over eighty per cent of the items, with only a handful from the 1980s and 1990s. Two kit suppliers dominate — Asics on the older stock and Kappa on the newer — which gives you a quick dating shortcut. An Asics label points to the 2000s Serie A and Serie B seasons; a Kappa label points to the late 2010s onwards.
Home and away shirts are a minority here. A large share of the listing is training wear — shirts, zip tops, rain jackets — along with polos, shorts and goalkeeper shirts. There are also items marked Match Issue and Player Issue, prepared for the squad rather than sold to supporters; several of these carry squad numbers and names such as Cappellini and Ascoli. Condition grades run from 4/10 to 10/10 and most sit around 8/10. Youth and ladies sizes appear alongside the standard adult range.
